Motor Bike Tour Sri Lanka 9 Days

Negombo>>Mannar>>Jaffna>>Trincomalee>>Arugambay>>Nuwara Eliya>>Tangalle>>Colombo.

Day 1

  • Transfer from airport to the western coastal town of Negombo.
  • Spend the day relaxing on the beach.
  • Overnight in Negombo.

Day 2

  • (250-300KM) Riding Grade- Easy
  • With a packed breakfast, ride north along the west coast of the Island to Mannar, passing though the
  • coastal village of Puttalam and most likely through the Wilpattu National Park.
  • Overnight in Mannar.

Day 3

  • (150-200KM)Riding Grade - Easy
  • In the morning, set off further north to the northern capital Jaffna riding across the Indian Ocean on the famous Sangupiddy Bridge that connects Pooneryn on the main land to the Jaffna peninsula
  • Spend the afternoon exploring Jaffna and nearby towns and villages, including Point Pedro (northernmost tip of Sri Lanka) and Kankasanturai.
  • Overnight in Kankasanturai.

Day 4

  • (250-300KM) Riding Grade – Easy to Moderate
  • After breakfast head south from Jaffna along the famous A9 highway up to Paranthan from where you turn off towards the east heading to Pulmoddai and south to Nilaveli a beach resort near the eastern Capital, Trincomalee.
  • Proceed on a sightseeing tour of the city.
  • In the early evening visit the seven natural hot springs of Kanniya, located close by.
  • Overnight in Trincomalee.

Day 5

  • (250-300KM) Riding Grade - Easy
  • Ride south along the east coast of Sri Lanka to the coastal village of Arugambay.
  • Spend the rest of the day relaxing by the beach.
  • Overnight in Arugambay.

Day 6

  • (200-250KM) Riding Grade – Moderate to Active
  • In the morning, ride towards Nuwara Eliya aka “Little England”, via the central highlands of Sri Lanka.
  • Stay in the center of town making it easy to explore the scenic town and its suburbs.
  • Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 7

  • (250-300KM) Riding Grade – Moderate to Active
  • Descend from the central hills along a scenic route through the “Ella Gap” and then head south through the Yala National Park to the coastal city of Tangalle. This scenic route to the south coast of the Island enriches the ride passing through tea fields, forests, rivers and waterfalls.
  • Overnight in Tangalle.

Day 8

  • (200-250KM) Riding Grade – Easy to Moderate to a few Active sections.
  • Ride to Colombo via the picturesque lower highlands of Ratnapura and Kiriella.
  • Spend the evening exploring the city on bike or by foot (and tuk tuk’s) and enjoy a farewell dinner, consisting of Sri Lankan cuisine.
  • Overnight in Colombo

Day 9   

  • Transfer to the airport by coach.
